Alair grew up in Philadelphia and is thrilled to be back teaching in her home city. She was accepted into the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows' 2008 cohort and began her career at William Penn High School teaching English and Creating Writing. Alair then moved to John Bartram High School and continued to teach freshmen English and Literature courses. She received her Master’s in Education from Chestnut Hill College in 2010. Alair now teaches Reading and coaches basketball at KDCA.
