Kama Garrick is a native of the beautiful Caribbean nation of Trinidad. She moved to Philadelphia during her elementary school years. While in junior-high and high school, Kama had the honor to serve as a mentor and tutor to second graders in St. Francis Xavier School and fifth graders in Paul L. Dunbar Elementary School through Temple University’s TAF program. She attended Lincoln University of Pennsylvania and Arcadia University. She received her B.A in Business Administration from Arcadia University in 2007. After graduating, Kama started her career in the private sector working for a prestigious financial institution. She has now transitioned to KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy as the Office Manager. Kama hopes to help the youth in the school transition to and through college, as she has done.
