Information:
Aaron Bass is a native of Philadelphia. He began his teaching career with Teach For America’s 2001 Atlanta Corps. During his corps years he taught Science and Social studies at John F. Kennedy Middle School. Aaron eventually moved to Douglas High School where he taught US and World History. In 2004 he founded the Breakthrough Fort Lauderdale organization and served as Executive Director for three years. In 2007 He joined KIPP Philadelphia Charter School as the Dean of Upper School. He received his B.A. in Africana Studies and Sociology at Franklin and Marshall College in 2001. He received his Masters in Education Leadership at Florida Atlantic University in 2007. Aaron now serves as principal for KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, the first KIPP High School in Philadelphia.
